instagram

As a sampler of (and dabbler in) social media, I have enjoyed Instagram more than anything except the early pre-social-media blogging days. I often forget that I have this page on my website because the simple, graphic almost-daily interaction with Instagram over this past year (when I finally gave in and joined up) has supplanted all other platforms. There’s no politics there, few words and endless pictures and inspiration. I’m able to treat it like an online visual journal. Check me out here.

These are my two most recently completed paintings, and they couldn’t be more different. Okay, maybe they could. Though this one looks less like an abstracted tree landscape than the other abstracts, it still feels to me like it has roots in the natural world.
