Thanks for visiting. I am a visual artist living on BC’s Sunshine Coast in the traditional territory of the Skwxwú7mesh Nation. The natural world, particularly the wild areas of British Columbia, is my primary inspiration. I got my start through landscape painting, with plenty of creative detours and experimentation in imagery, mediums and techniques. My most recent work could best be described as a fusion of abstraction, folk art and landscape, brought together to further explore this land and its flora, fauna and natural features.

I grew up on the West Vancouver side of Howe Sound, then spent the next dozen years working/playing/studying/teaching in three regions of British Columbia, Greece and the UK, eventually settling back in the Vancouver area. During these years I mostly worked as a teacher in the public school system. I didn’t start painting again until 18 years after receiving a BFA in Visual Art from the University of Victoria. Since then I have had a varied career, exhibiting my work in public and commercial spaces in both British Columbia and farther afield. I moved to Gibsons in 2015, returning to my Howe Sound roots.
